Mirzapur: The Movie, the big-screen version of the Mirzapur franchise, has become one of the year's biggest Hindi hits. Released on September 4, 2026, it has grossed roughly ₹337 crore to ₹340 crore worldwide. The figures below are trade estimates, and Koimoi marks its own numbers as still updating.

The totals

Sacnilk lists a worldwide gross of about ₹339.63 crore: ₹274.13 crore gross in India and ₹65.50 crore overseas, with an India net of about ₹230.38 crore. A second Sacnilk-based page shows ₹230.45 crore India net and ₹339.70 crore worldwide. Koimoi's tracker lists ₹336.72 crore worldwide and ₹233.62 crore India net, both marked as provisional. A Times of India report on day 28 gave India net as ₹229.50 crore and worldwide gross as ₹334.10 crore.

The trackers are within about 2 per cent of one another, which is tight for a film still earning small amounts. By day 28 it was making only about ₹60 lakh a day, according to the Times of India.

The opening

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, the film stars Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal, with Divyenndu, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan and Rasika Dugal, according to Wikipedia's list of 2026 Hindi films. Koimoi records an opening day of ₹28.11 crore India net and an opening weekend of ₹97.89 crore. That is a large opening for a film whose name began as a streaming series, and it suggests the audience for the story was already there.

How it ranks

On Koimoi's October 18 list of top Hindi grossers of 2026, Mirzapur: The Movie is fifth by India net at ₹233.66 crore. Koimoi's verdict is Super Hit.

The overseas share is also notable. About ₹65.50 crore of the ₹339.63 crore total came from overseas, roughly 19 per cent on Sacnilk's figures.

What the figures do not tell us

None of the trackers publishes a reliable budget for Mirzapur: The Movie in the sources reviewed here, so there is no verified return on investment to report. Verdict labels such as Super Hit and Blockbuster therefore rest on assumptions that readers cannot check. What can be stated is that the film's gross is large and that it has held up for weeks.

Another caveat concerns the word "worldwide". Koimoi and Sacnilk use different overseas sources, which is why the worldwide totals differ by a few crore even when the India numbers match closely.

The summary

Mirzapur: The Movie has earned about ₹230 crore to ₹234 crore net in India and ₹334 crore to ₹340 crore worldwide on the trackers reviewed, making it fifth among Hindi films of 2026 by India net. It opened with ₹97.89 crore over its first weekend on Koimoi's count. Final numbers will settle as the trackers close their records.

How it compares with the year's other hits

On Koimoi's India net list, Mirzapur: The Movie trails only Dhurandhar The Revenge at ₹1186.32 crore, Border 2 at ₹362.76 crore, Drishyam 3 at ₹341.6 crore and Hanuman Ansh at ₹339.71 crore. It leads Bhooth Bangla at ₹199.23 crore, Dhamaal 4 at ₹177.92 crore and Awarapan 2 at ₹156.12 crore.

On worldwide gross, Sacnilk's ₹339.63 crore is well above Dhamaal 4's roughly ₹230 crore to ₹236 crore. The India net is the better yardstick for domestic audiences, because it removes taxes from the figure.

The series connection

Mirzapur began as a streaming series, and the theatrical film's collections show that a franchise with an existing audience can open large. Koimoi's opening weekend of ₹97.89 crore means that nearly 42 per cent of the film's India net came in its first three days, a fairly front-loaded pattern that is typical of franchise releases. The remaining weeks added about ₹135 crore.
